Joe Dobbins has a true passion for sharing his knowlege and experience with others. He majored in education in college and utilizes the skills he learned to enhance the restoration industry.

Joe owned and operated a general contractor business and mitigation (fire/water/mold) restoration business for 25 years serving as insurance company repair vendor in both construction and mitigation. He also worked as a property claims adjuster and has worked as a consultant to several insurance companies and participated as expert witness for these carriers.

He participated in writing and peer review of the IICRC® S500 Water Damage Standard and Reference Guide, which has become an international Standard — 1994 (1st edition), 1999 (2nd edition), and 2006 (3rd edition) — ANSI-accredited.

Joe also participated in writing, technical and peer review of the IICRC® S520 Mold Remediation Standard and Reference Guide — 2003 (1st edition), and 2008 (2nd edition) — ANSI-accredited.
